Over the past few weeks, I've had the immense joy of stepping into my new role as Director of First Nations Executive Education. I could not imagine a more meaningful way to close the year than by joining such a committed team! 

FNEE's 4th year has been marked by key milestones: the launch of the Next Generation Program and its two cohorts, carrying forward intergenerational transmission and leadership rooted in our identities. 

In September, with the 10th cohort of the Women Leadership program, we reached an important milestone: more than 220 participants. Over five consecutive days, a safe and inspiring space is created — one where confidence grows and where the voices of women from our Nations shine. 

We have also surpassed our initial objective of training 1,000 leaders in five years: in only four years, 1,182 leaders have been trained at FNEE. 

These achievements are yours. Thanks to your engagement, your trust, and your collaboration, FNEE continues to grow and shine. With strategic planning in full momentum and a collective determination to advance Indigenous leadership, we can look ahead to 2026 with pride and excitement. 

I wish you gentle moments with your loved ones during this Holiday break. May the joy of gathering and the warmth of shared moments accompany you. May the winter solstice and this time of rest bring light –  and gratitude – to you and your loved ones. We’ll see you in January to continue this beautiful journey together!
