FNEE is proud to launch the first cohort of the Next Generation Program, which begins tomorrow. This transformative initiative is designed to support young Indigenous leaders.
The first cohort will gather at the Ilnu Museum in Mashteuiatsh from March 4 to March 6, 2025, for an immersive experience focused on leadership development and personal growth.
A Program Designed by and for Indigenous Youth
Developed over the past year in partnership with First Nations Quebec-Labrador Youth Network, Mikana, Puamun Meshkenu, New Paths Foundation and Wapikoni, this program reflects the unique challenges and aspirations of First Nations youth. By integrating the expertise and perspectives of these organizations, it offers a meaningful learning journey tailored to participants’ needs.
A Three-Day Training
Open to Indigenous youth aged 18 to 35, the program provides a dynamic space for self-discovery, leadership development, and skill-building. Participants will take part in interactive workshops, discussions, and training sessions centered on three key themes:
- Cultivating the Future: An introduction to political engagement for the next generation.
- Speaking with Impact: Mastering the art of public speaking.
- Optimizing Time: Strategies for setting and achieving goals.
FNEE is committed to equipping young leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to take on leadership roles in their communities and beyond.
Growing Demand
With strong interest in the program, a second cohort is already scheduled for October 21 to 23, 2025.
