Summer Solstice: Honouring the Sacred Fire 

The Summer Solstice is a day of light and deep meaning for our Peoples and Nations.
Fire — a sacred element — illuminates, unites, and strengthens the ties between generations.
At dawn, the lighting of the sacred fire marks the beginning of the celebrations. It is a moment of connection — to ourselves, to the spiritual world, to our communities — and a powerful act of remembrance and renewal. 

Next Generation Pride: Speaking Up and Standing Tall

For this year's National Indigenous Peoples Day, we are proud to uplift the voices of young Indigenous leaders who took part in the newly launched Next Generation Program, which began in March. Their messages are powerful affirmations of identity, strength, and cultural pride.
