Last month, First Nations Executive Leadership had the honour of hosting the Annual Gathering of the Grand Economic Circle of Quebec and Indigenous Peoples movement at HEC Montréal’s Hélène-Desmarais building.
On June 3, 2024, Indigenous, non-Indigenous, Francophone and Anglophone participants engaged and connected with one another through a program that allowed for inspiring encounters and fruitful exchanges. The packed audience was driven by a shared desire to contribute to economic, civic and societal reconciliation.
The program, designed to encourage openness and sharing, included prominent keynote speakers, such as Cadmus Delorme, founder and CEO of OneHop Advisory Services, Michael Sabia, CEO of Hydro-Québec, Ghislain Picard, Chief of the Assembly of First Nations Quebec-Labrador, and Ken Rock, FNEE co-initiator. Alongside conferences and panels, the networking sessions were especially popular.

- 11 Nations present: Anishinabe, Atikamekw, Cree/Eeyou, Inuit, Innu, Kanien:keha’ka (Mohawk), Mi’gmaq, Naskapi, Wendat, Wolastoqiyik, W8banaki
- 135 companies and organizations in attendance.
